Biography


New York City based, singer/actress, Jenny Lynn Stewart, is a "baby-boomer" who was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan by two World War II veterans (Dad, Army and Mom, Navy).

Jenny graduated from Cass Technical High School and holds degrees from Michigan State University (Television and Radio) and University of Michigan (Voice Performance).

She is best known for performing the role of The Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music in several productions with Marie Osmond, John Davidson and Patrick Cassidy.

Jenny is a classically trained (cross-over) singer who specializes in programs for the 55+ audience. In 2004 she started creating and performing her solo shows with the intention of touring. Her shows have been described as classy, elegant and fun-filled. Ms. Stewart appears on stage with one of the East Coast's premier pianist/accompanists and she may be booked with additional instrumentalists.

She loves travel and enjoys watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Lawrence Welk reruns.

One little known fact about Jenny is that she is proficient at riding elephants.
